What is Monterey Consan 20?
Monterey Consan 20 is a concentrated, three-in-one fungicide, algaecide, and disinfectant designed for use across lawns, gardens, greenhouses, and indoor hard surfaces. Its active ingredient, Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride, works against fungal, bacterial, and viral plant pathogens, as well as the slime and odor-causing organisms that thrive in moist environments. Consan 20 is EPA-registered, biodegradable, and part of the Agrisel USA lineup of professional-grade products proudly made in the U.S.A.
Where to use it?
Few products in the Agrisel catalog cover as much ground as Consan 20. It’s used in a wide range of professional and residential settings:
- Turf and lawns. Controls brown patch, dollar spot, fusarium blight, leaf spot, pythium blight, rust, and fairy rings on golf courses, sports fields, and home lawns.
- Ornamental gardens. Manages black spot on roses, powdery mildew on crepe myrtles, anthracnose on dogwoods and ash trees, downy mildew, botrytis, rust, and crown rot on flowering plants.
- Greenhouses and nurseries. A go-to disinfectant for hard surfaces, work benches, flower pots, flats, propagation tools, and walkways. Helps prevent cross-contamination between plants.
- Indoor and institutional spaces. Approved for use in homes, offices, schools, locker rooms, and similar institutional settings as a sanitizer and disinfectant on hard, non-porous surfaces.
- Specialty uses. Treats cut flowers, plant cuttings, bulbs, and rhizomes to prevent disease transmission. Also controls algae and bacteria in evaporative coolers, bird baths, and greenhouse walkways.
Important note: Consan 20 is not labeled for use on food crops or grazing areas. Treated lawns should not be grazed by livestock, and clippings should not be fed to animals.
